Op-ed on the distributional effects of pollution in Le Monde by Lutz Sager

Lutz Sager, Assistant Professor at ESSEC and member of the THEMA just published an op-ed in Le Monde about the distributional effects of pollution. This follows a longer article in The Conversation where he explains that air pollution remains one of the world’s most unequal environmental challenges, with its most harmful effects concentrated in the poorest countries. While progress has been made in some regions through cleaner energy and effective public policies, global disparities in exposure have widened. He stresses that tackling extreme pollution worldwide is both possible and essential for improving health, well-being, and sustainable development.
